I heard somewhere it is due to a legal case of some kind.

Note: It appears that at this time, whilst the Domo icon is gone from the list of emoticons, in the forums you may simply type in ":domo:" and he will be available for use. However, this does not extend to guild forums. Thank you to Koka for informing me :D.

You know, you can still type in ":domo:" and get it, right? At least, last time I checked, it worked.
